Community Service
SERVICE LEARNING TEAM, CCVA COMMITTEE
In my role as a fellow for 4 years now, I contribute 4 hours weekly to my school's Service Learning Team, leading a fitness elective for Kingsbridge Heights Community Center students, and another 3 hours per week as a representative on the CCVA (Center for Community Values and Action) committee. As a key liaison between students and CCVA administrators, I've played a central role in shaping grade-wide Service Learning Days, impacting and enriching the educational experiences of 700+ students.

7 CUPS
As an Intern and Verified Listener for the online platform 7 Cups for the last year, I've dedicated my skills to providing therapeutic support to anonymous individuals in need. With 100+ chats under my belt and 50+ badges, I've offered solace and understanding to those seeking an empathetic ear during challenging times while growing my own compassion and active listening skills.

As a Student Representative and volunteer for the JED Foundation’s School-Based Mental Health Convening Planning Committee, I collaborated with professionals, school psychologists, psychiatrists, and Department of Education members, providing valuable student perspectives in 10+ meetings. As part of the Student Coalition, I've actively contributed to shaping the convening proceedings and determining key stakeholder involvement, ensuring the voice of the student body is well-represented.

ENGLISH TUTORING
For 2 years, I was a volunteer English tutor in the summer to students in China who wanted to prepare for their school year but did not have the resources to hire tutors. I acted as my cohort of three other tutors' leader, curating lesson plans and facilitating communication between the families and the tutors.
